Jack William Wines upcoming releases

Jack William Wines are my greatest passion. Named after our son, Jack William Wines represent a legacy. My father passed on to me his love of wines and passion for the business, and I hope to pass the same love and passion on to my son.

Nothing but the best wines will carry the Jack William name. By focusing on small lots and using exemplary vineyards, I am able to handcraft wines that will stand the test of time.

"The King"
Cabernet Sauvignon

It has often been said that Cabernet Sauvignon is King. Some of the most respected wines throughout history and throughout the world are created with Cabernet Sauvignon.

We have selected Alexander Valley to source our Cabernet because of the flavors it produces and the tannin structure it shares. Alexander Valley is one those special areas that produces world-class Cab. This wine showcases aromas and flavors of blackberry, bay, and thyme structured within rich soft tannins and a long silky finish of dark fruits and thyme.

"Ode to Joy"
Cabernet Sauvignon

There are certain people that one never forgets and who will forever impact your life. My grandfather, Joy, was one of these men. He was a man of integrity, strength, and especially character. I felt it was only fitting to have my reserve Cabernet named in tribute to him. Ode to Joy is what I believe to be the quintessential Alexander Valley Cabernet. Framed in rich soft tannins, this Cabernet Sauvignon has deep flavors of blue and black berries integrated in flavors of sweet vanilla and toast with hints of thyme in the back ground. This wine will be delicious upon release, but will improve over the next decade.

"M Block"
Cabernet Sauvignon

Petit Verdot, one of the traditional Bordeaux varietals, creates a richly textured wine with great levels of depth, concentrated flavors, with a long finish.

M block in Alexander Valley produces a minute amount of Petit Verdot every year, and it is treasured. In 2005 we produced one barrel of wine, 20 cases. The M block is located near Geyserville on a west facing hill rising from the benchland. The fruit has incredibly dark color and dense flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and anise. The wine was aged in new French oak for 20 months.
